Support the Power to Heal Funds Across MedStar!
For the first time, Power to Heal Campaign Committees across the system have collaborated with leadership to identify projects that will receive support from the campaign. These projects have corresponded into our Power to Heal Funds.
The 2016 Power to Heal Funds at our MedStar institutes and other services locations include the following.
MedStar Ambulatory Services
Contributions to the 2016 Power to Heal Fund at MedStar Ambulatory Services will provide support to MedStar’s Ambulatory locations within the communities we serve. Your gift will be used to ensure those patients, families and communities continue to have convenient access to the highest quality of care where they live and work.
Gifts to the 2016 Power to Heal Fund at MedStar Health will support community health programs that focus on addressing the needs of underserved populations in our region. Contributions will advance initiatives such as pipeline health internships at MedStar for disadvantaged youth; chronic disease prevention and management programs for low-income individuals; and projects that aim to address patients’ social needs like housing, transportation, and food insecurity.
MedStar Health Institute for Quality and Safety
Gifts designated to the 2016 Power to Heal Fund at MedStar Institute for Quality and Safety will support the Quality and Safety Education Fund. These funds will be used to support Patient Safety Summer Camp scholarships for graduate medical residents and health sciences students in medicine, nursing and pharmacy from around the world. These MedStar led educational camps aim to change the current culture of healthcare, instilling the most innovative and effective quality and safety practices.
MedStar Health Research Institute
Gifts designated to the 2016 Power to Heal Fund for research at MedStar will support the New Investigator-Associate Giving Grant Fund. This fund helps to establish the careers of investigators who are new to MedStar and advance health for patients in the communities we serve.

With its intelligent gravity compensation and robotics and virtual reality, you would be helping us bring cutting-edge technology to our patients seeking to regain arm motor function.
