About me
Dr. Anand Nath is a gastroenterologist at MedStar St. Mary’s hospital.
After finishing his medical school at Seth GS Medical College in the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, Dr. Nath moved halfway across the globe to Washington D.C. for his Internal Medicine residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center where he also stayed on to serve as a chief resident.
He then pursued training in liver diseases and Transplant Hepatology at University of South Florida, and returned to Washington, D.C. to complete his Gastroenterology fellowship at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.
In addition to wide variety of gastrointestinal illnesses, Dr. Nath has extensive interest and expertise in treating acute and chronic liver diseases. Dr. Nath has multiple publications and is actively involved in research in gastroenterology and nutrition related to bariatric surgeries and endobariatrics, which is a rapidly evolving and promising field in the era of increasing prevalence of obesity.
During his spare time, Dr. Nath enjoys photography and outdoor sports such as cricket, volleyball.
