Scott Royal, MD

Scott studied and swam division 1 at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, then took a four year hiatus to study viruses and vaccine design at UNC – Chapel Hill where he later went to medical school. During medical school he spent a summer helping to set up a Zika laboratory and research study in Leon, Nicaragua. Scott is interested in primary care for LGBTQ+ and other minority under-served populations as well as pediatric vaccine policy. In his spare time he loves exploring DC, travelling to the beach, and hanging out with his cat, Cam, and dog, Ethel.
