As president of MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, Thomas J. Senker is responsible for the overall strategic and operational direction of the hospital and the MedStar Montgomery Board of Directors, with a primary focus on being the trusted leader in caring for people and advancing health. He is also a senior vice president for MedStar Health, a $6billion not-for-profit health system in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. region.

With a healthcare career of more than 20 years, Senker is an experienced leader and change agent who has leveraged Lean methodologies to achieve higher levels of quality and safety at lower costs. Prior to becoming president, Senker served as vice president of Regional Integration and Operations for MedStar, leading service optimization, performance improvement and integration activities across the Baltimore region.

An adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Health Services Administration at Georgetown University, Senker is board-certified in healthcare management as a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, and currently serves as a Director for the Olney Theatre Board.
