Stuart B. Bell, MD

Stuart B. Bell, MD, has served as the vice president of medical affairs for MedStar Union Memorial Hospital since 2003, and previously served as the hospital's chief of staff. In 2018, Dr. Bell assumed the integrated role of vice president of medical affairs for both MedStar Union Memorial and MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital.

Prior to joining MedStar Union Memorial, Bell was the director of employee health service and medical consultant for the Children's Hospital for Reconstructive Surgery, medical director and physician in chief for Brightwood Health Center, and served as a consultant for the Baltimore City Health Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He has also held teaching roles at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital and Greater Baltimore Medical Center.

Bell has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Maryland, and a doctorate in medicine from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is a member of the Medical and Chirurgical Society of the House of Delegates, a fellow for the American College of Physicians, and a fellow for the American College of Physicians Executives.
