Our commitment to the community
MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is deeply committed to our relationship with the Georgetown community. We strive to maintain meaningful, long-term relationships with the community that facilitate productive, public participation in and with all current and future MGUH initiatives. We will continue to work throughout the development process to ensure that public concerns and aspirations are consistently understood and addressed.
Over the past few years, the project team has met with 11 different organizations, including community groups, district agencies, and academic institutions. We are committed to working alongside the community to develop a project that meets the needs of our patients, our hospital and our neighbors.
We are working closely with the Georgetown University and the Georgetown Community Partnership to coordinate our efforts around development of the medical/surgical pavilion. Click here for more information about GU's current master planning process.

Georgetown University campus plan
The Georgetown University Campus Plan is a twenty-year consensus plan for Georgetown’s historic main campus. Implemented by the Georgetown Community Partnership, it is a collaborative and thoughtful plan aimed at protecting the character and promoting the future of Georgetown and the University.
