Prepared Childbirth Weekend Express hosted by MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center

Registration for the November 18th and December 9th classes are closed.

Weekend Express was designed to fit your busy lifestyle and give you all the information you need to prepare for the birth of your baby in one day! Learn the importance of the Birth Partner during labor and delivery and how they can support mom. Couples will be taught labor-coping techniques (breathing, relaxation, focusing and positioning) to help deal with labor and facilitate birth. Discover pain management techniques and choices including when you can get an epidural and how to approach, should you choose, natural childbirth. Time will be spent discussing when to go to the hospital, creating a flexible birth plan, and what to expect after the baby is born. Breakfast and lunch vouchers are provided for in person classes.

Fee: $110.00 per couple.

• For all Prepared Childbirth Class, please be sure to bring 2 pillows. 
• Arrive early to have time to get breakfast (voucher provided).

• Make sure to Bring Dad or Support Person with you to class.
