About the Provider

David L. Pearle, MD, is a professor of Medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology. In addition to his primary practice at MedStar Georgetown, he performs cardiac catheterization procedures at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

Dr. Pearle has repeatedly been recognized as a top doctor by multiple organizations, including Washingtonian Magazine Top Doctors since the list was first developed. In 2014, he is listed as a Washingtonian Magazine Top Doctor, America's Top Physicians by Consumer's Research Council of America, Best Doctors in America by Best Doctors, Inc., Top Doctors in the Washington Area by Washington Consumers' Checkbook, and Top-Rated Docs by Northern Virginia magazine. Dr. Pearle served for six years is acting chief of the Cardiology Division. At various times, he has served at MedStar Georgetown as the director of the Coronary Care Unit, the director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, and the director of the Cardiology Fellowship Program. He was a two-term president of the American Heart Association Nation's Capital Affiliate. He is a frequent invited speaker for both medical and lay audiences.
