Edwin Numsuwan, MD, specializes in the interventional treatment of low back and neck pain, nerve pain, joint pain and sports-related pain. He is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), with subspecialty board certification in Pain Medicine and Sports Medicine. He is also board certified in electrodiagnostic medicine.
Prior to arriving at MedStar National Rehabilitation Network, Dr. Numsuwan was chief of the Division of Interventional Spine in the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. Previously, he was an assistant professor and attending physician at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Numsuwan received his medical degree from UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in NJ. He completed his PM&R residency at New York University Medical Center - Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, a fellowship in Sports and Interventional Spine at LAGS Spine and Sports Care, and a fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
