Howard S. Freeland, MD, FCCP is Board certified in Pulmonary and Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He serves as the medical director of the Respiratory Therapy Department and the Pulmonary Function Laboratory at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. He is also the medical director of the Coumadin Clinic and Chairman of the Medstar Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
Dr. Freeland specializes in the treatment of adult pulmonary diseases with a special interests in COPD, asthma, evaluation of shortness of breath and persistent cough and sarcoidosis. He is also involved with the diagnosis and treatment of sleep apnea and lung cancer.
When he is not practicing medicine, he performs with the Handel Choir of Baltimore and the Young Victorian Theater Company. He has also been an active participant in Good Samaritan's Literature in Medicine program.
