About the Provider

Nargiz Muganlinskaya, MD, is an associate program director. She received her medical degree with honors from the Azerbaijan State Medical University. Upon coming to the United States, Dr. Muganlinskaya studied at Saint Francis University where she received a master's degree in medical science. She completed her residency and chief residency at MedStar Franklin Square and was continually recognized as one of their outstanding residents. She received the prestigious Darwish award given to the outstanding graduate of the program. Nargiz also received an award from the Chief Resident's Association of Baltimore because of her leadership and tireless work on behalf of that group.

Dr. Muganlinskaya's research project entitled "A Simple Intervention to Improve Timely Follow-Up for Laboratory Tests Results in an Outpatient Resident and Faculty Clinic" sponsored by the AAMC's national initiative on improving patient care through medical education garnered national recognition. Nargiz is recognized for her clinical skills, professionalism, generosity of spirit, support of her colleagues and staff and commitment to relationship-centered care. Her main focus in residency is to create a positive house staff experience by enhancing and focusing on academics and clinical education, developing curricula with emphasis on clinical reasoning skill enhancement, and mentoring for a successful career in medicine.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys visiting art museums and performances at Baltimore Symphonic Orchestra with her family. Her interests also include history and philosophy of medicine, and ancient history.
