About the Provider

Nina Scribanu, MD, is a pediatrician specializing in clinical genetics and developmental pediatrics. Dr. Scribanu focuses on the areas of early detection of developmental disabilities in infants and children, newborn screening, and health and developmental issues in children at environmental risk, specifically with adoption and foster care. Physicians, schools and therapists also refer children with genetic issues, delayed development, autism and behavioral issues to Dr. Scribanu for diagnostic services.

Dr. Scribanu considers herself an advocate for children with disabilities. During her long tenure at MedStar Georgetown, Dr. Scribanu, a Fulbright scholar, has contributed significantly to teaching the next generation of physicians.
