Dr. Schroeder received her M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her internal medicine residency training at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and her endocrinology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She joined the Division of Endocrinology at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital in 2006. She is board certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
Dr. Schroeder is the Program Director of the Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism Fellowship Training Program, and the Co-Director of the Thyroid Clinic at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital. She is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist. She is also certified in performing thyroid ultrasounds and fine needle aspiration biopsies of thyroid nodules. In addition, she is licensed to perform radioactive iodine treatment for hyperthyroidism due to Graves' disease and thyroid nodules. Dr. Schroeder is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She is also a fellow of the American College of Endocrinology.
