Erin M. Hanlon, PA-C, is a Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant at the Medstar Cardiology Associates and Vascular Institute’s Division of Vascular Surgery. She obtains detailed patient histories and conducts physical examinations; develops and implements diagnoses and treatment plans; prescribes medications; orders and interprets radiological, vascular, and laboratory studies; and acts as first assist in all vascular surgery procedures. She has made several presentations before national audiences, including at the SVS’s Physician Assistant Section Annual Conference, and Society of Vascular Nursing Conference. Ms Hanlon is the co-founder and Chair of the Society of Vascular Surgery Physician Assistants Society. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants; Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants; Association of Physician Assistant in Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery; and the Society of Vascular Surgery (SVS). Ms Hanlon received her Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University, and her BA from Emmanuel College. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and the Maryland Board of Physicians.
