Dr. Ruchi Prasad was born in Canada and attended medical school at University College Dublin in Ireland. She then moved to Philadelphia, PA to complete her Internal Medicine residency training at the nation’s first hospital, Pennsylvania Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Enticed by beautiful Baltimore, Dr. Prasad served as Chief resident at Union Memorial Hospital in 2015 and became full time faculty in 2016. She currently serves as the physician leader for the Intermediate Care Unit and teaches outpatient internal medicine at the Adult Medicine Center. She is passionate about teaching residents how to provide high quality, compassionate and efficient care. She is our Director of Recruitment, is a strong advocate for the residents, and has an interest in mentorship and career counseling.
Outside of medicine, she loves cooking, baking, and particularly clinic potlucks. She is looking forward to going back to traveling the world with her two sons and husband!
