MedStar Researcher Receives Grant to Design Safer Electronic System for Managing Medication Administration

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has awarded Raj Ratwani, PhD, an R01 grant to study electronic medication administration records to identify current safety issues and needs of clinicians and then develop new prototype solutions. Medical Student to Study Mindfulness-Based Therapy for Families through MedStar Summer Research Scholarship

Amanda Shapiro has been awarded a summer research scholarship through the Pines-Kleinman Mental Health Fund from MedStar Health Research Institute. Under the guidance of Matthew Biel, MD, the research will investigate the use of mindfulness-based therapy for parents of young children.
