MedStar Health Joins #FitForTheFrontLine Challenge to Unite Nation’s Top Medical Centers in Support of Frontline Healthcare Workers
Fitness challenge honors and supports healthcare heroes at MedStar Health.
May 26, 2020
MedStar Health is joining medical centers across the United States to start a nationwide movement of physical activity to honor and support frontline healthcare workers. #FitForTheFrontLine is a national fitness challenge that runs from Tuesday, May 26 through Sunday, June 14 (Flag Day). The event encourages Americans young and old to move, exercise, and get fit while increasing awareness and raising funds to support our nation’s healthcare heroes.
Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone from medical providers to support staff, environmental service workers and other associates have met a historic challenge. Now, the #FitForTheFrontLine challenge empowers all Americans to show their support.
The call to action is simple:
- Choose any activity (run, walk, yoga, meditation, etc.)
- Dedicate your activity to the #FitForTheFrontLine at MedStar Health
- Post a picture or video, tag @MedStarHealth and #FitForTheFrontLine, and share the landing page: Flow.Page/MedStarHealth
- Tag your friends and family to join the challenge
For the MedStar Health #FitForTheFrontLine challenge, gifts will benefit our Associate Emergency Support Fund, which funds emergency and crisis situations for applicable non-management associates across MedStar Health who need extra support.
In addition to MedStar Health, participating #FitForTheFrontLine organizations include Mount Sinai Health System, Baylor College of Medicine, BJC HealthCare, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Cedars-Sinai, Cleveland Clinic, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, Hackensack Meridian Health, Johns Hopkins Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, Mayo Clinic, Michigan Medicine, Montefiore Einstein, NewYork-Presbyterian, Northwell Health Foundation, Northwestern Medicine, NYU Langone Health, Penn Medicine, RWJBarnabas Health, Temple Health, The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, University of Chicago Medicine, UW Medicine, Washington University in St. Louis, Weill Cornell Medicine, and Yale New Haven Health.
