BALTIMORE— MedStar Health, the largest healthcare provider in Maryland and the Washington, D.C. region, will launch a new podcast series, MedStar Health Doc Talk, featuring physician experts in conversations that cover the medical spectrum, July 1st.

MedStar Health Doc Talk elevates awareness of the latest in medical technology, research, clinical trials, devices, and surgical approaches. “There is actually a demand for podcasts now,” said Mike Hartnett, regional vice president of Public Affairs and Marketing. “We saw this platform as a great opportunity to highlight our clinical expertise in a wide range of specialties and familiarize our listeners with the experts who are eager to educate the public about their health. The listener will get the latest medical information and learn about symptoms and treatment options, all in a candid, live-to-tape conversation about the issue.”

During the premiere episode, Mike Schuh, former WJZ-TV reporter and host of MedStar Health Doc Talk, talks with Dr. Elliott Dawson, Chief, Division of Neurology at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center about the risk of stroke. That episode will be followed by Schuh and Dr. Albert Aboulafia in an engaging conversation about the importance of cancer screenings, especially during the pandemic.

A new episode will release on the first and the fifteenth of each month, and can be found in most podcast directories, including: Spotify, Apple, I Heart Radio, Amazon Music, Deezer, Pandora, Podchaser, Podcast Index, and Podcast Addict.
