About me

Dr. Asdourian,  is an orthopaedic spine surgeon trained in reconstructive spinal surgery. His expertise is in the treatment of adult spinal deformity, spondylolisthesis, and degenerative disc disease. For more than 34 years, Dr. Asdourian has utilized state-of-the-art techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of failed cervical and lumbar decompressions and fusions. Dr. Asdourian was a key investigator in cervical artificial disc replacements. He has pioneered the use of robotic spine surgery in the MedStar system. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society, the Scoliosis Research Society and the North American Spine Society. He is a member and former President of the Maryland Orthopaedic Society. He currently serves as the Orthopaedic Medical Director of the Medstar Medical Group.
