Join Dr. William Suddath for a lecture: Women & Heart Disease

Did you know that the risk factors and symptoms of heart attacks for women are different than they are for men? While women are likely to experience chest pain or pressure, it’s not always severe and it may
not be the most prominent symptom. Women are more likely than men to have heart attack symptoms unrelated to chest pain, such as: neck or jaw pain, shoulder pain, abdominal pain, shortness of breath,
nausea or vomiting, sweating, dizziness, and/or fatigue. What’s even more alarming is that these symptoms may be subtle, causing women to brush them off as unimportant. As a result, women tend to go to the
emergency room after heart damage has already occurred; but you don’t have to be one of these women.

In honor of American Heart Month, Dr. Suddath is offering free lectures to our associates and our community members. Dr. Suddath will discuss heart disease and how it specifically impacts women with

a 35 minute presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.
