I am grateful for many things--life itself and Dr. Joseph Watson who made that possible by removing a tumor from my brain. Going into surgery I was not sure if I would come out so I told the Lord I would be happy to see my children again and I would also be happy to see my savior, so do what is best. He has given me life again and I ask Him prayerfully what he wants me to do. Last Friday night when I could not sleep, I found out. Now I know that even though I'm old I can still be an angel on this earth to help others.

I want to give Dr.Fillar a big thanks for the great care in taking for the knee surgery she preformed on my knee.

To all those who I had the pleasure of coming in contact with, whether reception workers or those that dealt with me personally as I went through my eight weeks of radiation and chemo treatments, from the bottom of my heart you were the best. There was not a moment that I regretted opting for treatment instead of surgery. You all made my visits easy and my mind at peace.

Greg F.

I would like to thank Dr. Rapisuwon for having the imagination to develop my T-VEC treatment and the determination to implement it (despite a few insurance and other obstacles) and Dr. Boisvert for suiting up in all the PPE and doing all the injections. And Glenda and the many infusion nurses and oncology nurses helping prep me for the injections. The new treatment made a huge difference when everything before had failed. Has given me more years, dont want to jinx it but may have saved my life. Thank you!

Dr. Penny Bisk, the very best, an empathic care giver who is tough as nails. Everyone should wish she was their interest. A great physician. Thank you, Dr. Bisk.

I am extremely grateful for the MedStar staff...especially my transplant team at georgetown and my primary care in leonardtown. Dr. Gilbert is an amazing transplant dr. It has been a rollercoaster of a year for me and all the while he has never rushed me...always answered my questions and made me feel like a person and not a number. Dr. Cheryl Shaw is the best primary care I have ever had. She has seen me at my best and worst. I do not play well with doctors typically...with Dr. Shaw...if she says to jump...my response will always be how high. She understands her patients. She takes the time to get to know them and work with and for them. She is amazing. MedStar st marys was extremely helpful with all my transplant required testing...everyone i have come in contact has me as the patient first and nothing else. That in itself is refreshing.

I am still here, 4 years this month, after being diagnosed with stage 4 advanced colon and liver cancer. Thanks to all the medical staff and the lord

Thank you, previous employer, for allowing me to keep my old BCBS insurance for three weeks when I accepted a job offer from Johns Hopkins. That coverage paid for my inpatient visit to Medstar, which would not have been covered by Hopkins insurance because Medstar doesn’t accept it. Thanks old employer and BCBS! I’m grateful
