Special Procedural Areas

In specific procedural areas of cardiology, minimal training is appropriate for physicians who do not plan to achieve additional qualifications in a given field. Conversely, those physicians who wish to become qualified in specialized areas (e.g., performance of transesophageal echocardiograms or diagnostic cardiac catheterization) require additional training, as specified by the individual rotation descriptions.

Trainees should log all appropriate procedures.
