Research - Emergency Medicine at MedStar Washington

Residents are encouraged to participate in research projects during the course of their training. Opportunities are available through the Department of Emergency Medicine, the Georgetown University School of Medicine and MedStar Health Research Institute

Residents also have the unique opportunity to participate in funded research conducted in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Areas of focus include critical care, patient safety, emergency preparedness and medical informatics.

In addition, MedStar Washington's Office of Graduate Medical Education offers generous funding to support the presentation of research at conferences and meetings.
