Rotation Schedule - Radiation Oncology at MedStar Georgetown

Clinical rotations are divided into three-month blocks, which offer the resident an opportunity to follow the same patient from initial consultation through simulation, treatment planning, treatment delivery and initial follow-up. The clinical rotations at MedStar Georgetown are designed to comprehensively cover the required core competency subjects in radiation oncology, which include CNS, head and neck, lung, lymphoma, breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, gynecologic and pediatric malignancies. Residents will take each MedStar Georgetown rotation at least once, and generally take the Clinton and the MedStar Washington Hospital Center rotations twice during the course of residency. While at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, a resident is assigned to an attending for a month at a time, although the resident may participate in any case of interest. At Clinton, residents will participate in the majority of cases seen there.
