Vice President of Operations, Chief Clinical Officer, MedStar Health Home Care

Lynette Godhard, RN, BSN, MGA, vice president of operations and chief clinical officer, oversees four MedStar Health Home Care locations that serve patients across Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia. In this role, Godhard leads the development, implementation, and clinical management of homecare nursing and therapy services, staffing strategies, and daily operations. She is responsible for achieving patient experience, quality, growth, financial, and operational goals set by the home healthcare leadership team and the MedStar Health department of Nursing. Working in partnership with the vice presidents of homecare Quality, Patient Experience, and Business Development, Godhard oversees patient care and clinical practices across all four homecare agencies, ensuring the delivery of customer-focused, high quality care to both patient and physician customers.

Before joining MedStar Health, Godhard held positions as associate vice president/chief clinical officer and director of clinical operations at Adventist Home Care Services during her 14-year tenure. She managed home health, hospice, home infusion, and home medical equipment companies at Frederick Memorial Regional Health System in her role as a director. Prior to this role, she worked in home healthcare and hospice management at Adventist and Holy Cross, as well as her beginnings as a primary care registered nurse.

Godhard earned a master’s degree in general administration from University of Maryland, University College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Southern College SDA. She has won several professional awards from the Maryland National Home Care Association, including the Leadership Award in 2016, Member of the Year in 2007, and Committee of the Year in 2006.
