Jayson N. Atves, DPM
Jayson N. Atves, DPM is a Fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon practicing at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s Division of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Atves manages all forms of foot and ankle pain, injury, and deformity from bunions and hammertoes to complex limb reconstruction. He specializes in foot and ankle reconstruction secondary to degenerative, posttraumatic and limb salvage pathologies. Dr. Atves performs total ankle replacement, foot and ankle correction surgery including tendon transfers and joint fusion surgery and is trained in an assortment of specialized procedure types including arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgery, and Charcot recontructive surgery.

Dr. Atves earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., He completed his Fellowship in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery at the Pennsylvania Intensive Lower Extremity Fellowship in Malvern, PA. Dr. Atves believes in the importance of continued professional development and has completed numerous courses both nationally and internationally and holds certifications for several complex foot and ankle procedures.

Dr. Atves is an active member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, among others, and has made significant contributions to the field of foot and ankle surgery with extensive involvement as a researcher and as Faculty in MedStar’s Podiatric Surgery Residency training program and at the Georgetown University School of Medicine.
