Welcome Letter—The MedStar Health—Georgetown University Hospital Abdominal Multi-Organ Transplant and Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery Fellowship

Letter from the Program Directors

Welcome to our Fellowship Programs. Our Abdominal Multi-Organ Transplant and Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery Fellowship is among the largest in North America based on clinical volumes. We offer both an AHPBA-accredited HPB track and a combined ASTS-accredited abdominal transplantation surgery track.

All trainees gain in-depth exposure within all clinical tracks and also to their specific interests. They have opportunities to participate in complex HPB and minimally-invasive robotic, laparoscopic, and open surgery while being trained in one of the largest pediatric liver and intestine and multi-visceral transplant programs. Our academic didactic courses, along with robust clinical experience, combined with basic and clinical research projects, prepare our graduates for their future as leaders in the world of transplant and hepatopancreatobiliary surgery.

With warm regards,
