Ron Migues, MD
Executive Director, MedStar Medical and Surgical Research Network
Ron Migues, MD, serves as the Executive Director for MedStar Medical and Surgical Research Network for the DC and Maryland MedStar facilities. In this role, he provides leadership and guidance for the administrative operations for MedStar Health’s medical and surgical research areas, excluding cardiology and oncology. In his role, Dr. Migues orchestrates pre- and post-award duties for federal and commercially sponsored projects. These duties range from assisting investigators with the submission of grant proposals to managing federal awards and clinical trials. He and his team provide an infrastructure of research personnel to ensure successful research. He is the one-stop shop for any Investigator interested in doing research within MedStar Health.
From 2010 to 2019, Dr. Migues served as the Scientific Center Administrative Director for Medical Clinical Research Centers at the MedStar Health Research Institute. Prior to this, he served as the Clinical Research Manager for MedStar Health Research Institute at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, in the Critical Care and Emergency departments. Ron also serves on multiple committees within MHRI, focusing on associate engagement and wellness.
Dr. Migues was awarded his medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine.
