Nazli Vedadi, MD, is the associate director of the community scientific center at MedStar Health Research Institute. In this role, Dr. Vedadi oversees federal awards and sponsored clinical trials for MedStar Health Research Institute at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Franklin Square Hospital. She leads a team of experts that manages a diverse portfolio of federal and commercial awards, including diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and obesity trials. Working closely with clinical providers and research teams, she ensures effective recruitment, enrollment, monitoring, and compliance for the Community research department.
Dr. Vedadi has an extensive background in clinical research and critical care. After graduating from medical school, she joined MedStar Health Research Institute in 2004, participating in several clinical trials in the surgical critical care department at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. In 2011 she joined the University of Maryland’s cardiac surgery ICU research team to build the research portfolio with the director of Cardiac surgery ICU.
