Kristi Rasmussen, CFRE

Kristi Rasmussen serves as regional vice president, philanthropy, serving three hospitals in the Baltimore region: MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center (MFSMC), MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital (MGSH), and MedStar Union Memorial Hospital (MUMH). Kristi is also a respected member of the MedStar Health Philanthropy leadership team.

With over 20 years of philanthropy experience at MedStar Health, Kristi is empowered and motivated by the generosity and gratitude of others and the opportunity to participate in the transformation and advancement of healthcare. She has experience building, developing, and supporting all facets of a robust philanthropy program grounded in investments made by grateful patients, special friends, benefactors, and the community.

Kristi has raised millions to support MedStar Health, including completing several capital campaigns for MFSMC's cancer center, patient tower, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and MGSH's Inpatient Rehabilitation Center. In the research and education realm, she led the establishment of the Health, Economics, and Aging Research (HEAR) Institute at MedStar Health, still supporting its innovations today, and is actively leading the creation of the Musculoskeletal Research and Innovation Center at MUMH via philanthropic partnerships. Kristi also seeks programmatic support for associate wellness, patient assistance programs, and cardiology, geriatric, and rehabilitation initiatives.
