Celebrate nurses who go above and beyond
This Nurses Week (May 6–12), we celebrate the nurses who go above and beyond and make a lasting difference in countless lives.
To honor that impact, two patients were invited to write letters of gratitude to the nurses who supported them through their hardest days. The nurses read those words—unaware of what would happen next—before being surprised by the patients in person. The emotion says it all.
A nurse’s presence through 132 days: Caitlin’s story
When Caitlin’s daughter was born prematurely, she spent 132 days in the NICU at MedStar Health. During that frightening time, Jeannette, RN, provided expert care, reassurance, and a steady presence for Caitlin and her family.
Jeannette became more than a nurse—she became a trusted partner during one of the most challenging experiences of Caitlin’s life.
