Treatment options for epilepsy and sudden seizures include medication and leading-edge interventions at the recommendation of your physicians - such as vagal nerve stimulation, medication, surgery, a ketogenic diet, and deep brain stimulation. To diagnose your seizure disorder, a neurological exam, blood tests, EEG, CT scan, MRI, PET scan, or neuropsychological tests may be performed.

Dr. Haagensen completed medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed an adult neurology residency and two additional years of fellowship trained dedicated to the study of epilepsy.

Throughout the years, Dr. Wojtasiewicz has developed an interest in functional neurosurgical procedures. She has extensive experience performing a wide variety of treatments to help her patients, including Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), Stereotactic EEG placement, laser ablation, and baclofen pump implantation.

Dr. Wojtasiewicz is highly skilled in using state-of-the-art technology including improving high precision and accuracy with intraoperative navigation and minimally invasive procedures to help make neurosurgery safer and gentler for her patients. She has written publications on stereotactic and functional neurosurgery and deep brain stimulation.
