Justin Burton, MD, is a co-program director and one of the pediatric rehabilitation medicine physicians in the National Center for Children's Rehabilitation (NCCR) at MedStar NRH. NCCR is a joint program with Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Burton comes to MedStar NRH from the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, where he held a Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Fellowship and completed his residency as chief resident. Prior to that, he completed a pediatric residency at the Children's National Medical Center. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Washington University School of Medicine and his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland.
Dr. Burton is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR), the Association of Academic Physiatrists and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
He also served as a clinical instructor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and as chief resident at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. He has received awards for both research and teaching.
