Jonathan Hwang, MD

Jonathan Hwang, MD, is the Chairman of Urology, the Director of Robotic Surgery at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Professor of Urology at Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Hwang has performed over 3,500 robotic surgeries including over 3,000 robotic prostatectomies to date, more than any other urologic surgeons in the DMV region.

Dr. Hwang earned his medical degree with an AOA honors distinction from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He completed residencies in Surgery and Urology at Boston University School of Medicine. He was a Clinical Fellow in the Urologic Oncology Branch at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
