The Inpatient Psychiatric Services are available around the clock, 365 days a year, through the Emergency Department at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Outpatient Behavioral Health Services can be accessed between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, by calling 202-877-6333 to request a new patient appointment.

Using a multidisciplinary approach, our team of psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, psychologists, therapists, social workers and mental health technicians provide a flexible array of both inpatient and outpatient programs and services. As the regional leader of psychiatry services, we offer the most complete spectrum of care available, including the benefits of a being a part of a major teaching hospital.
