Prepared Childbirth 4 Week Series hosted by MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center

Prepare for childbirth by attending a 4-week class for expectant couples. Learn what happens to the body and the baby during the final phases of pregnancy. Couples will be taught the importance of the birth partner and labor-coping techniques (breathing, relaxation, focusing, and positioning) to help deal with labor and facilitate birth. Discover pain management choices. Time will be spent discussing when to go to the hospital, creating a flexible birth plan and what to expect after the baby is born. Classes are taught by a Registered Nurse who is also a Childbirth Educator. Franklin Square Birthplace tour included with class registration
