Gary Kupfer, MD, treats children, adolescents, and young adults with blood disorders and cancer in our Division of Pediatric, Adolescent, and Young Adult Hematology and Oncology at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. He is director of the Georgetown University Medical Center Hemophilia Treatment Center and has particular clinical and research interest in the care of hemophilia patients of all ages, in bleeding and clotting disorders, bone failure and aplastic anemia, leukemia, and genetic syndromes of cancer predisposition.
Dr. Kupfer has been published in several prestigious publications including BLOOD, Molecular Cell, Nature, and Cell Reports. He is a member of several professional societies including the American Society of Hematology, American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and Society for Pediatric Research.
