Dr. Asdourian, Chief of Orthopaedic Spinal Surgery at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, is a spine surgeon trained in reconstructive spinal surgery. His expertise is in the treatment of adult spinal deformity, spondylolisthesis, and degenerative disc disease. For more than 27 years, Dr. Asdourian has utilized state-of-the-art techniques in the diagnosis and treatment of failed cervical and lumbar decompressions and fusions. Dr. Asdourian was a key investigator in cervical artificial disc replacements. He is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society.

His special interests include the treatment of adult spinal deformity, spinal tumors and infections, spondylolisthesis, cervical and lumbar herniated discs, cervical and lumbar spinal stenosis. He uses state-of-the-art technologies to treat these spinal disorders.
