About me
Derrick A. Fox, MD, is a fellowship trained board-certified neurologist. He has a focus on neuromuscular disorders and electromyography (EMG). He sees patients at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center.
Dr. Fox is triple board certified in Neurology, Neuromuscular medicine disorders, and in Electromyography (EMG). He is a member ofthe American Academy of Neurology as well asthe American Academy of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
As a natural problem-solver and experienced physician, Dr. Fox conducts the EMG studies and provides reliable neuromuscular evaluations.Through careful assessment, examination, and EMG procedures (if needed) he reveals both simple and highly complex diagnoses based on his experience and elite medical training. His expertise and friendly demeanor provide patients with diagnoses, effective treatment plans, reassurance, and answers to their questions.
Dr. Fox treats a variety of neurological conditions including myasthenia gravis, cervical dystonia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease), peripheral neuropathy, myopathy, muscular dystrophy, carpal tunnel syndrome, and nerve root impingement (radiculopathy) in the cervical and lumbar spine.
Originally from the Baltimore area, Dr. Fox is passionate about providing quality care and has a special interest in patients suffering from weakness and numbness.
