About me

Etsubdenk M. Ajebo, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist in the MedStar Health Department of Dermatology and an Assistant Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine. She practices at MedStar Health at Chevy Chase.

As a general dermatologist, Dr. Ajebo treats patients for all general dermatologic conditions, including acne, psoriasis, eczema, blistering diseases, and benign or malignant skin growths.

Her clinical interest includes pigmented lesions, melanoma, and non-melanoma skin cancers. As a member of an upcoming interdisciplinary clinic, twice a month, she will collaborate with an oncologist to help patients with skin cancer surveillance, assess for cancer recurrence, and address skin issues associated with cancer treatments.

Dr. Ajebo treats patients with topical and systemic medications, phototherapy, and injections. She also performs cryotherapy to treat benign and premalignant lesions and surgical excisions to remove skin cancers and benign symptomatic cysts.

Dr. Ajebo obtained her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University, where she also completed her internship and dermatology residency and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She served as a Chief Resident in the final year of her dermatology residency.

She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Philosophy of Care

“I believe in treating patients with empathy, compassion, and respect by delivering the same level of care that I would want for myself or my loved ones. I always strive to provide the highest quality of medical service by empowering my patients with knowledge about their conditions and helping them choose the best evidence-based treatment.

“I want my patients to know that I am dedicated to helping them achieve optimal skin health throughout their treatment journey. My approach is patient-centered, which means that I will prioritize the needs and preferences of my patients by listening to their concerns attentively, involving them in treatment decisions, and tailoring my approach to suit their individual circumstances.”
