Dr. Kathryn M. O’Connor is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in foot and ankle surgery. Her areas of special interest and expertise include:

She focuses on a holistic approach and offers her patients the complete spectrum of treatments, including non-surgical treatments as well as surgical options, to treat disorders of the foot and ankle.

She has published in several peer-reviewed journals, written book chapters, and presented at conferences in the U.S. and Canada. In addition, she was an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania for 5 years, prior to joining MedStar Health.

Outside of work, Dr. O’Connor is an avid runner and cyclist and enjoys spending time with her family.

    I was impressed by the immediate referral to a specialist. Dr. O'Connor was fantastic. She was very patient and met my informational needs with sensitivity.

    Dr. O'Connor was great! She explained what happened to my foot and what the options were, what the possible side effects will be. I failed to ask about recovery time immediately post-surgery, but she addressed all questions I asked in the office.
