Caitlin Gauvin
Caitlin is a first-year fellow. She is originally from Massachusetts and completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She then worked as a clinical research coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital and volunteered in palliative care prior to starting medical school at NYIT-COM on Long Island, NY. While in medical school, she completed a Global Health Certificate program, which included a 6 month course followed by 2 weeks rotating at a hospital in Osiem, Ghana. Caitlin then finished her residency in Internal Medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital, followed by a Chief resident year during which she helped to run the resident simulation program. Her interests include general ID, the intersection between ID and critical care, tropical medicine, and global health.
