Joshua Biro, PhD, is a research fellow at the MedStar Health National Center for Human Factors in Healthcare. His research interests include medication safety, implementation science, and artificial intelligence. In addition to his expertise in cognitive systems engineering, he has published in the prestigious British Journal of Anaesthesia on patient safety and medication errors in anesthesia. Dr. Biro supports several projects designed to improve medication safety and reduce health inequities. Dr. Biro received his Doctorate in Industrial Engineering from Clemson University in 2023 and holds an M.S. in Industrial Engineering and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University and the University of Maryland, College Park, respectively. Josh enjoys live music, hiking, and going to the theater during his free time.
