About me
Dr. Lucy B. Kupersmith, MD, is a vascular surgeon with the MedStar Heart and Vascular Institute and MedStar Health Cardiology Associates. As a vascular surgery specialist, Dr. Kupersmith works with a wide range of vascular diseases and other conditions. She performs many different types of arterial and venous vascular surgery procedures to treat her patients, including: open and endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral bypass surgery, endovascular limb salvage, dialysis access, lysis of pulmonary emboli, lysis of deep vein thrombosis, laser or sclerotherapy for the treatment of varicose veins, and carotid, femoral, or aortic endarterectomies.
Dr. Kupersmith received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center of San Antonio. She then completed a residency program in integrated vascular surgery at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
After completing her residency, Dr. Kupersmith relocated to Maryland and began working with the MedStar Health Cardiology associates in Annapolis. In the coming years, she hopes to establish relationships with other providers, provide the highest quality of care to her patients, build her practice, and ultimately focus on community education. Through knowledge, she hopes to empower her patients and the Annapolis community to improve health outcomes.
