Dr. Nicole Chaumont, MD, FACS, is the Regional Vice Chair of Quality, Safety, and Outcomes, a role that focuses on advancing patient safety and promoting the use of current, evidence-based practices in surgery across the MedStar Health care system. Dr. Chaumont is a board-certified surgeon with specialty training in Colon and Rectal Surgery, with a focus on the surgical care of patients with colon and rectal conditions. Her clinical expertise includes minimally invasive approaches to the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, as well as colon and rectal cancers.
