About me

Alex R. Montero, MD, is a hospitalist and patient safety officer at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. He is an assistant professor of Medicine and assistant program director for Quality and Safety at Georgetown University Department of Medicine. A board-certified internal medicine specialist, his emphasis is on the care of the entire patient with the goal of delivering safe, effective care that is patient-centered.
As a hospital-based physician, Dr. Montero has recently championed the implementation of a quality initiative called geographically-based, multidisciplinary rounds.
