Steven Svoboda, MD is a physician certified in orthopedic sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is the Director of Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Research at MedStar Health at Lafayette Centre. Dr. Svoboda also serves as the Assistant Team Orthopedic Surgeon for the Washington Capitals and the Washington Wizards.

Dr. Svoboda is associated with MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Presently practicing at MedStar Health Orthopaedic and Sports Center at MedStar Health at Lafayette Centre, Dr. Svoboda works towards building a better healthcare environment in Washington DC.

Dr. Svoboda is a qualified orthopedic surgeon, who received his medical degree from the University of Maryland, followed by a fellowship at Keller Army Community Hospital and a residency and internship at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
