About me
Aparna Miano, MD, practices internal medicine at MedStar Health Primary Care at New Mexico Avenue. Her areas of clinical interest include adolescent medicine, health education, preventive care, and women's health. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Georgetown University Medical School and supervises medical students in the clinic.
Dr. Miano received her bachelor's degree in Politics from Princeton University and medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of California San Diego. During her time at University of California San Diego, she was a Chief Resident in Med-Peds. Prior to medical school, she worked for Physicians for National Healthcare. Prior to moving to Washington, DC, she worked with underserved patients in East Los Angeles, and taught students and residents at USC Keck School of Medicine/LA County Hospital.
