Deanna Desire, AGPCNP-C, is a nurse practitioner who is part of the gastroenterology team at MedStar Health. She provides comprehensive care for adult patients who have been diagnosed with a diverse range of disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. One of the most common conditions Ms. Desire treats is inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). She works collaboratively with MedStar Health’s board certified gastroenterology physicians to treat and educate patients on how to best manage their clinical conditions.

Ms. Desire joined MedStar Health in 2022. She previously worked as a remote triage nurse for Included Health, and as a sexual assault nurse examiner for the Women’s Center of Jacksonville. Earlier in her career, she also worked for Southeast Georgia Health System, Amedisys, the Medical University of South Carolina, Trident Medical Center, and Palmetto Behavioral Health.

Ms. Desire is board certified as an adult gerontology nurse practitioner by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association of Maryland and the American Gastroenterology Association.
