About me
Dr. Dokyoung Yoon, MD, PhD, is a board-certified family medicine physician at MedStar Health Primary Care in McLean. His clinical expertise includes annual physicals, disease screening, preventive care, chronic disease management, and comprehensive primary care for adults, seniors, and adolescents. He also provides treatment for common acute conditions. Dr. Yoon is deeply committed to patient-centered care, always placing his patients’ best interest as his top priority.
Dr. Yoon previously served as an associate professor at Korea University College of Medicine in Seoul, and the Director of the Family Medicine Department at Korea University Ansan Hospital before relocating to the United States. He is a strong advocate for public health. He has published numerous papers on topics such as patient presenting pattern after a large disaster, the significance of healthcare education, and the biomedical and societal impact of chronic diseases. He served as a military doctor in the Korean Army and with the United Nations Peacekeeping forces.
